Happy birthday to you, little one

Our little boy turns one today! REALLY hard to believe. What a great year we’ve had.
Here is the invitation I designed for the party we had last weekend…

Eat your peas, please!

These goals charts were designed for the Metal Morphosis children’s line last year. It’s a fun way to get the kids more involved in household tasks. When they complete their goals, they get pewter tokens, which eventually add up to a “prize”. I’m definitely saving my samples for when our little boy is old enough!

Positive Space

My essay, I Got Schooled From Teaching, is today’s featured article on Anthony Zinni’s blog, Positive Space! It’s a very valuable site that focuses on design resources rather than visual inspiration. The article discusses my experience when I began teaching typography at the Creative Circus and how it made me think deeper about this industry [...]

Website design

Although we don’t do a TON of web design, it’s always a fun challenge when we do. Below is an example of a project we created for Unit One’s (a communications firm I have worked with) client, Atlanta Neurosurgical Associates. They came to us looking for something clean and contemporary that would showcase their expertise [...]

Our office makeover!

I know I should be ashamed about this “before” picture. For a long time, I have wanted an inspiring and beautiful space to work in, but just haven’t put forth the effort—at least until now, I should say. We moved some things around last weekend, and the new office is coming along nicely, and is [...]

The Mono Expression Gallery

I am happy to be a part of an interesting photo project, where Graham Smith of UK’s I’m Just Creative is compiling profiles of artists from all over the world. Do you also consider yourself creative, either professionally or personally? Then feel free to participate! Below is my portrait. You can find the gallery here.

Brand Evolution

When creating a logo for a company, we typically give the client 3 completely different approaches to the artwork. From there, they choose one direction to pursue and we fine tune the logo until they are 100% pleased.
Below are those first 3 concepts we presented to Mountain Fresh Grocery, an independent grocer in the cute [...]

Cordially Invited

There was a time when I was designing a ton of wedding invitations. I love working on something so personal and important; the invitations often set the tone for the entire event and capture the spirit of the couple! While I am now focusing on other things, there are several that I think turned out [...]

Friendly Bugs

Well, maybe not the bee! Here is a pattern I’ve been working on. Guess I’m daydreaming of summer today, along with all the colorful insects buzzing around. Have a great weekend everyone!

Obama’s good luck charm!

A big congrats to my client, Metal Morphosis. Apparently, during the recent presidential campaign, Barack Obama carried a slew of good luck charms in his pocket. One of them (actually, his “favorite”) was Metal Morphosis’ Braille Word Pebble! Click here for a link to the story. Below is a press slick that we whipped up [...]
